Buddha's First Winter concert

Last Friday was Buddha's first winter concert with his preschool. Luckily, it was only 1/2 an hour long.  I did wonder what would a non-speaking child do at a preschool concert, see if you could find him in the crowd of kids :D

This kid would not sit still for a pic.

Diva Beat all the boys

This past weekend, Diva had her first Wushu (it is karate to me).  I figured she may get in last since it is her first one.  Nope, she actually placed with 3 boys in her age group.

I also realized I never posted her belt test past October.

Her event was to sit in a horse stance (a squat position) while balancing a pole across her legs.  I'm amazed how long she lasted (2 minute mark) before the coach called timed.

She actually placed first!

Croissants making with the kids

This past weekend I had a play date with my mommy group.  I had the kids made croissants.  I even experimented and made a pretzel croissant.  Here are some pics from the day.

They even got a pic of me ;P

Eventually the kids got bored and went out side to play
Here are my pretzel Croissants:
I used this recipe.  Right before I baked them, I dropped them into a pot of boiling water with baking soda.  This made the crust like a pretzel.
Best Pic Ever :D

Diva's Fifth Birthday

It was Diva's 5th birthday party.  What to guess the theme?  Superheros!

The parents loved the whistles.  I got all the looks of gratitude or was it anger.

The kids got to design their own cape and mask
The kids even changed a villain with little fists
They also got a chance to attack an evil monkey pinata.
It took so much effort, the dad's had to open it up

Happy Birthday Baby.  Since you are now five, you are now in-charge of washing dishes.

Halloween 2013

Halloween just passed once again.  This year, we had 2 sets of costumes since my kids like to destroy each one when they wear it.
First set: hot dog (this was suppose to be my costume except  I didn't realize it was for a child)

We joined one of my friends for trick or treating by my work.  There was a neighborhood close by that goes all out on Halloween and even has a haunted out the dads in the neighborhood put together.  The nice thing, the street is blocked off so the kids were able to go into the street.  The bad part, it was so dark we could hardly see the kids.  Thank goodness for glow sticks.

Here are a few pics from my cell phone and my friends camera.  My favorite pics are toward the bottom

The first house we went to had a bubble machine .  Buddha went wild and wouldn't move the whole time!

Yes, he is holding Daddy's ear (weirdo)

They are bothering the dead
He was about to spit put whatever he was eating
Trick or treating begins

In some areas there were so many people, we were worried about keeping track of the kids.
I had a genius idea to have the 4/5 year olds be responsible for each other.  The rest of the time, they were holding hands while trick or treating.
In order (Lilo, Raphael - I think?, and princess)

This is one of the displays in front of the houses we went to.  Buddha was so scared, he crawled up my head and was chocking me.

Buddha laughing at a flying ghost

This was the front of the haunted house
See Buddha's looking at it

These are my favorite shots!.  Thanks Em!
And finally, Happy birthday Baby.  I don't believe you are 5.  You look about 3 - you need to grow a little more :D
